Tempered Glass is a type of safety glass, processed through heat treatment to increase its strength by 4 to 5 times compared to normal glass. This is obtained by subjecting raw glass to a controlled heating and cooling process (thermal shock). In this way, the mechanical and thermal characteristics of the product are increased.

Tempered glass is considered safe, since in case of fracture or breakage, its splinters are not sharp and are much smaller than those of conventional glass, which limits the risk of accidents.
